Welcome to The Purple Spoonie: A Safe Space for Spoonies Like You

Hi there, friend—and welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, years into your journey, or just looking for a community that gets it, you’ve found your spot at The Purple Spoonie.

This space was born out of my own daily struggle with chronic pain and my deep love for family members who battle autoimmune diseases like Lupus, MS, and Graves' Disease. I know firsthand how exhausting, invisible, and isolating chronic illness can feel. That’s why I created The Purple Spoonie: a warm, supportive corner of the internet where comfort, connection, and community come first.

Here, you'll find:

Relatable blog posts about life with chronic illness
Gentle self-care ideas for flare days
Resources and tools to help you feel seen and supported
Cozy, curated products that actually help
✨ And most importantly… a space to feel less alone

You’ll also hear a lot about something called the Spoon Theory—a beautiful way many of us use to describe the energy limits we live with each day. I’ll talk more about that soon, but just know: if you’re low on spoons, I see you.

So, grab a comfy blanket, a warm drink, and stay awhile. I can’t wait to grow this community with you.

💜 With love,
Erica
